A 5th Grader Making This Super Detailed Cardboard Nintendo Switch Because His Parents Wouldn't Get Him One Is Crazy Yet Impressive As Fuck

Jesus Christ, kid. When I heard that some 5th grader built a Nintendo Switch out of cardboard, I was imaging maybe some drawings on a box shaped like a Switch. I didn’t realize we were going to have a fake Switch that has all the connections of combinations of a real Switch. Somebody get that kid a couple of wires and motherboards so his parents can save a shit ton of Yen because that’s some real deal Rain Man shit right there.

And if you are the parents of this kid, what do you do? This kid probably pestered his mom and dad for months to get a Switch and they said no over and over. But this video going viral almost forces their hand to get him an actual Switch now, right? They likely said for him to make his own and he did as good as he could without the help of electronics inside. Gotta respect the hustle even if this is some real poor people shit. This is like if Charlie Bucket made his own golden ticket to Wonka’s factory. I guess this kid’s parents could just ship his ass to Nintendo and have him make his own. Based on what I’ve seen of the Switch, Nintendo could use someone with good handiwork that can build these things right.

Me? I would probably just have bought the kid a Switch from the jump. Granted my kid is only two so I haven’t really had to buy any big ticket items. But I’m definitely the first to crack when it comes to giving her what she wants. It just feels good to say yes, give her the toy or whatever, stop the crying, and continue being the good cop. I can’t imagine that will change if/when she wants a Playstation 6 in a decade or so. She knows her dad is a big ol’ softie. Might as well just get “Sucker” tattooed on my forehead.

Speaking of suckers and video games, make sure to watch Tex and Smitty play NCAA Football in a taser match. Loser gets tasered, winner gets to laugh his ass off at the loser’s shaking, electrically-charged body.
