We Had A MASSIVE Brawl In The Mexican Baseball League Featuring Bats And Helmets Being Thrown Between The Toros de Tijuana And Rieleros de Aguascalientes

Oh man do we have a brawl here. Throw the record books out when the Toros and Rieleros meet. Bad blood between the two and you can tell. The story is we had a few batters hit after the Toros hit a homer. The catcher was thrown out and the player who was hit was also thrown out, who knows why they did that, maybe to keep cooler heads, who knows. 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th when  Rieleros pitcher Brandon Quintero hits Gabriel Gutierrez of the Toros with a pitch. That is when Gutierrez decided he had enough. Sprints to the mound with bat in hand and chucks it at the Quintero. He obviously was not happy with being plunked on purpose, and you could tell it was on purpose by the way the pitcher reacted. Kindly puts his glove down and proceeds to get ready to fight, puts his arms out like "What are you gonna do?". Well he's going to throw a bat, that's what he's going to do. Pitcher turtles and tries to get out of there like any smart man getting a bat thrown at him would do.

He wasn't done there though, the catcher tries to wrangle the batter but he's too slow and he's still trying to take the pitchers head off. This time he takes his helmet off and chucks it at him. By that time both teams are on the field and it's a big brawl. Guys holding people back, others trying to fight, this was quite a scuffle. Some stuff is going on in the pile but we can't really see, I'm sure it wasn't fun. It kind of cools down but then it starts right back up again and we head into foul ground near third. Another fight breaks out above third and it's madness all over. This is a fight too, it kept going and going and going. I wish we had closer and better camera angles, I'd have love to see what was going on in the pile. Anytime you have a guy throw his bat and helmet you know you're in for a good fight. This was one of the better ones we've seen in a while. Only 5 ejections came from the fight which seems a bit light, but maybe they let the boys fight down there.

Maybe the best part of this whole thing was the little person just running around the field. This is like a scene out of Eastbound & Down. He's chasing the helmets down, trying to keep everything in order. What a scene.

And fun fact, Fernando Rodney came in and got the save for the Toros after all of this. Long life Fernando, he's like a cockroach.
