And Here We Go... The Bruins Have Acquired Mike Reilly From The Senators For A 3rd Round Pick

That didn't take long. Don Sweeney starts his trade deadline by acquiring LD Mike Reilly from the Senators for a 3rd round pick in 2022. Reilly has 19 points (all assists) in 40 GP with the Senators, and he should certainly help the B's transition game. He's ultimately a depth defenseman who will help bridge the gap until Carlo returns (and could end up being a solid partner for him). I actually really like the move despite him being a UFA, B's desperately need help on the back end (as evident after tonight). Low risk, high reward.

Victor Mete was placed on waivers by the Montreal Canadiens today and I don't think the B's would be able to get him based on their position in the waiver wire. Reilly was a sure thing.

Don't think Sweeney is done.. this is just the start.
