Stop Everything You're Doing - 'The Challenge All Stars' Just Dropped On Paramount+ And It's Perfect

How did I spend my Thursday night? A little thing called The Dozen and then followed that up by watching a bunch of my favorite idiots compete again. That's right baby, The Challenge All Stars is here and I'm blogging about it. I can't stress enough how AWESOME episode 1 was. It was perfect. It's exactly what The Challenge, you know, should be.

First off here's the cast:

Ace, Alton, Aneesa, Arissa, Beth, Big Easy, Darrell, Derrick, Jemmye, Jisela, Jonna, Katie, KellyAnne, Kendal, Laterrian, Mark, Nehemiah, Ruthie, Syrus, Teck, Trishelle, and Yes.

Decent cast! I know people will be looking for CT, Bananas, Landon, etc. But they wanted to focus on more nostalgia names. I was reading something that said Mark Long is trying to get CT, Wes, Bananas, etc all down the road as they are trying to grow this. Yep. Not to mention Trishelle is back.

Some other quick thoughts

- Give the person in charge of music a raise. You know what they dropped in episode 1? Some of these gems:

If you listened to No Quitters (I miss the alliance, RIPIP. Send your complaints to others if you want the podcast back) you know how big we were on the music selection. To quote our beloved TJ, the music guy killed it in episode 1. That's important.

- There was partying

The biggest thing missing in the current season of The Challenge is partying. Everyone is worried about working out. Not here. Not with my team. They broke out a massive party the first night with people passing out on couches and we got teasers of hook ups and fighting. This, THIS is what The Challenge is all about.

- The daily challenge was fucking hilarious. The medics were in full force because so many people were struggling with the diving and swimming. Every 5 minutes there was someone getting dragged around by medics. Laugh out loud funny stuff. Again, I was on the edge of my seat just seeing who could actually complete this. Teck (yes, that Teck) put it best

- We got pole wrestling for the first elimination. They weren't fucking around here. They gave us pole wrestling right off the bat. Something tells me we're getting the best of the best for eliminations. We're going to get a real hall brawl. Not Amber M running away from Amber B. We're going to get pole wrestling.

- TJ Lavin delivers. First off since it's on Paramount+ it's uncensored. We're getting Darrell just firing off the best speeches. People complaining and fighting. And we get TJ in his true element. He's dealing with his people. He doesn't have to deal with Big Brother or shit like that. He's so happy. He also hits us in the season trailer with a 'take care, see ya never.' Fucking ruthless from the perfect host.

- This is from Clem's preview blog and I'll remind you: I'm not sure if we will be recording No Quitters since I doubt we will be getting the green light anytime soon, but if someone wants to force Barstool's hand by sponsoring the podcast, make sure to hit up Steven Cheah and Mikey Podcast with your proposal. At the minimum I'll try to get the No Quitters guys to do Clubhouse or Twitter Spaces about it all. It's that good of a season in 1 episode.

- They are going weekly episodes which is smart. I didn't want a whole season dump. The best part of The Challenge is tweeting the episodes with our audience. It's interacting with everyone as people have favorites/hatred, etc. Seeing that they are going weekly episodes is a huge win.

- Thank you for waiting until the end of college basketball season for dropping this. You won't quit on us All Stars, I won't quit on you.
