Apparently Aunt Polly Was NOT Kidding When She Said Season 5 Of Peaky Blinders Is "Disgustingly Violent" ***SPOILERS***

A few weeks back I wrote a blog about the actress who plays Aunt Polly in Peaky Blinders called season 5 “disgustingly violent” 

‘I’ve only seen episode one, and there’s a whole bit… We saw the screening in Birmingham, for fans who managed to get lottery tickets.  I look away from the screen. I, as Helen, can’t watch it. I think it’s disgusting, gratuitous violence. It is… no, not gratuitous – disgustingly violent.’

Well, apparently she wasn’t lying.  Going off the screen shot here it looks like someone got crucified right off the bat:

I didn’t want to embed the whole tweet because it had a spoiler, but it’s hard to tell who it is from this screen shot.  But a crucifixion?  That’s fucked up right off the bat.  There were more tweets available and the dude hanging here looked like a Jigsaw victim from the Saw movies before they nailed him to the cross.  I almost upchucked my entire breakfast when I saw them.

Yup.  They were “disgustingly violent”.  No other way to put it.  If you want to see them, click here, big time spoilers though.

Season 5 is already available in the UK but it won’t be available to international audiences until October 5th.  Waiting like 6 weeks for it to hit The States is going to be worse than Cartman waiting for the Wii to come out.  If I could cryogenically freeze myself and just fast forward to that time I would, straight up Austin Powers style.

If you’re not on board the Peaky Blinders train you have more than enough time to catch up.  One of the very best TV shows on earth right now.  Don’t do it for me, do it for yourself.

I bought a VPN and am watching S5 now and yes, it’s as gory as you’d imagine.  Just brutal but awesome
