Listen. It takes a ton of balls to talk some trash about another player when he’s not even in the building and you’re saying it directly to the media. People say the NBA is soft these days. People say it’s all buddy-buddy and tummy sticks. That there’s no real rivalry in the league anymore. That there’s no real hatred that drives these players. But Jared Dudley is old as fuck. He’s the last of a dying breed. And he’s here to remind us of the past when the NBA Playoffs was a legitimate war. So he wasn’t just going to call Ben Simmons an average player to the media. If you’re gonna talk about it, you better be about it. And nobody was about it more last night than the Dud Man.
Zero points. Zero assists. You want to talk about a team player? How about a guy who won’t even register a single point because he doesn’t want to make the game about himself? That’s the issue with Ben Simmons. I mean look at this guy right here.
Sure looks to me like a guy who is more interested in setting a personal career playoff high than getting a team win. But not Jared Dudley. Dude won’t even make a single impact on the game because that’s how much he cares about the team. He doesn’t want to take the shine away from anybody else. Open 3? Think again, bitches. I just think that Ben Simmons could really learn a thing or two from the Dud Man. Maybe it’ll come with age and maturity. But for a guy like Jared Dudley to talk all that smack heading into the game and then to back it all up by being the best teammate a guy could possibly be? Wow. It’s inspiring, to say the least. That makes Jordan’s flu game look like Stanley from The Office.
