Fronnie Does China: The Muscle Beach Of China
I like to keep in shape. One of my biggest hesitations in traveling to China was that I’d lose a week of building lean muscle mass as I prepped for beach season. Needless to say, I was thrilled when Donnie told me of the vibrant fitness community in Beijing’s Temple of Heaven park. Turns out these daily workouts are more than just a way for Chinese people to ensure they live to 138 years old; they’re also a social gathering, a communal hot spot where people come to meet, sweat, exchange phone numbers, and eventually engage in lascivious behavior.
