Boxing is an art form as old as time. Chickens were domesticated around 8,000 years ago. The crossover was mere certainty. Chasing chickens has been an age-old way for boxers to get the footwork, lateral movement, and agility required to get an edge on the competition. It has been recorded being done throughout the 19th and early 20th century. Boxers and chickens have always had mutual respect because Boxing and Cockfighting are not too dissimilar: 1 on 1 pure violence. Boxers can always learn a thing or two from chickens. So I chase chickens every day before I do my boxing workouts to get light on my feet. Enjoy.
