Bruins Rookie Defenseman Charlie McAvoy Joins Spittin' Chiclets This Week
Needless to say, Spittin’ Chiclets was pretty psyched to get Chucky Mac for this week’s show. He dazzled the hockey world in the spring when he started his NHL career in the playoffs and was arguably the Bruins best defenseman for their 6-game postseason. He’s likely the pre-season Calder Trophy favorite for the upcoming season.
But even better, he’s a really hot shit and it comes through in the interview. McAvoy talked openly about the adjustment of looking up to a guy to looking across at him (as his D partner), what it was like to begin his NHL career under the red-hot glare of the playoffs, what was going through his mind when his giveaway almost led to the Bs post-season ending prematurely, the genius of Erik Karlsson, how awesome it was to win the World Juniors in Canada, and way more.
