Max Homa Explains Why He Shaved His Mustache After Winning The Fortinet Championship

On today's Pardon My Take... MAX HOMA! The recurring guest joined today's show just two days after winning the Fortinet Championship. Homa hopped on the show with Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter to discuss the authenticity of his win, what winning his third tournament means for his career, and most importantly, his mustache. Here is what Max Homa looked like when he won the tournament over the weekend:

Now, the mustache is gone, and the FedEx Cup points leader discussed the decision on today's show...

Mr. Cat: I got to ask the real important question, you shaved your mustache. You looked... I love your mustache, it looked like you were wearing a disguise when we turned on the TV, and you hit a putt, and someone was like, "Oh shit, Max just hit a putt." I looked up and I was like, "Wait, where is he? Oh, that's him." You looked like Bobby Valentine in the dugout, but that was an awesome mustache. What are you doing? You won with the mustache, and then you shave it?

Max Homa: So, there was a lot of thought that went into it. You, a mustache man yourself, Big Cat, you probably went through this phase, but at some point, there was like this sweet spot on like Monday or Tuesday where I really liked it. I actually thought I looked handsome. And then, there was this part that started about Thursday where I hated it and I looked... I saw your guys' post, "Italian or Pervert?" and I was really... If I had to wrestle that question myself, I wasn't really loving my look anymore.

Facts are facts: Max Homa has NEVER lost a PGA Tournament when rocking a mustache. Maybe the "Italian or Pervert" thing got to him, but it may have been the good luck charm he needed in order to win The Fortinet Championship and cash in on the $1.2 million check. Congrats, Max!
