Deciding If Supermarket Sweep Actually Holds Up Or Is Just Good For Nostalgia

Let's get this out of the way: I have loved re-watching 'Supermarket Sweep' on Netflix. They added 14 episodes, it was a show I watched as a young lad, and the nostalgia levels are high as hell.

The concept is still great, even if we don't quite shop the same way as we did back in the 1980s and 1990s. I also can't wait for the revival (coming to ABC this Fall). But let's be totally honest with ourselves for a second... do we like the show because it is good, or just out of nostalgia reasons?

I have to lean into nostalgia.

One big thing is the older episodes catching on with younger viewers, anyone under the age of like 25-26 will have a hard time connecting with this show. The prices are totally different, some products don't exist anymore, and it feels really dated.

Have you had a chance to watch the show again? Do you still enjoy it? Did you ever enjoy it? Let us know below...
