The Vegas Golden Knights Got Their First Dose Of Angry Hockey Twitter After Tweeting Out Girls Names As The Bruins Lines Tonight

Oh no. Never a good ratio when it’s 166 RTs and 121 responses (as of writing this blog). That could mean one thing and one thing only: Hockey Twitter got MAD. Now, you see, the Vegas Golden Knights are the new jokester kid on the Twitter block. They make witty tweets, they do friendly banter, and everyone seems to like them. But tonight, they were given their real introduction to Twitter when angry mob hockey Twitter came at them with their pitchforks and high-horse, white knight morality for using the joke from “Ted” as the Bruins lines. Uh ohhhhhh!

Ted is a Bear. The Golden Knights are playing the Bruins. The Bruins play in Boston. Ted (the aforementioned bear) lived in Boston. The girls names are from a well-known scene from the movie. Ta-da, a joke! But no, no, no, not on Hockey Twitter’s watch. No sir!

Welcome to the big leagues, Golden Knights.
