Kit Harrington Will Delay 'Game Of Thrones' Filming So The Cast Can Attend His Wedding

AV Club- Last month, we reported that Game Of Thrones’ Kit Harington and Rose Leslie had gotten engaged, finally giving Jon Snow and Ygritte the happy ending they deserved before they both got killed—though one of them did eventually get better. Of course, if you and your betrothed met on the set of Game Of Thrones, you simply have to invite the entire cast of the show to your wedding, which is exactly what Harington and Leslie are doing. Unfortunately, their wedding is going to happen in the middle of filming for the show’s final season, so Harington had to ask the producers if they’d be willing to pause the whole production for a bit. Harington told this story on the U.K.’s Jonathan Ross Show over the weekend (via IndieWire), and it turns out that the producers were surprisingly okay with his request. We don’t know who he specifically talked to, but the producer in question is apparently so stressed about the final season that Harington says “he’s reached the peaceful level.”

Hey I have an idea. How about you don’t do that, Kit. Thanks. We’re already not gonna get the final season of Game of Thrones until 2046. Maybe don’t do another thing that will delay it to 2052. We’re not getting any younger and nuclear war isn’t getting any less likely. We gotta speed this thing up and stopping production for a stupid wedding is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I’m not saying I want Kit and Rose’s wedding to turn into the Red Wedding now but I’m not not saying that. Why do they have to do it so soon? Wait it out. Make sure you actually like each other. Wade around in that engagement for a little while. People make mistakes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still 100% onboard for this wedding (waiting on my invite in the mail as we speak). Their love story is so perfect that it doesn’t seem real. I want them to get married and live happily ever after and blah blah blah…….just another time. Any other time. Not to mention there’s gonna be a whole hell of a lot of people joining #TeamWhiteWalkers if Jon Snow delays the debut of Game of Thrones. Believe that.
