Freedom Cruise Is Going Down In Boston And You Should Take Your Ass To It

Edit: Little guest blog from my pal Connor about an event happening in Boston to benefit the troops

The haters and losers are out there saying,

“There’s no way the first blog Cons posts is an invitation to an exclusive event that is going to benefit Veterans. Just no way. He wouldn’t be that brazen.” To which I would retort with the most somber of tones, “you couldn’t be more wrong, my friends.” I’m all about inclusion when it concerns something that is near and dear to my heart, especially when it includes dinner and an open premium bar on a boat for all my pals. I was in the Army, but I’m a huge boat guy. Shoutout to our Navy. Everyone who knows Barstool knows that we have a ton of respect for our Veterans and do our part to aid them in their journey during and after their military life.

In an effort to spread awareness for Veterans’ mental health care, I have joined the team at Operation: Heal our Heroes. OperationHOH has partnered with organizations that can effectively provide both the attention and care required for the thousands of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines who have endured and continue to bear the psychological burdens associated with our country’s time of war.
As Chaps and I have mentioned on Zero Blog Thirty, most Veterans bear some level of the invisible wounds of war, namely PTSD. People always ask, “How can I help?” You can help by letting folks know you care and supporting organizations like OperationHOH. In this case, all the profits we raise at this event will go to benefit the Home Base Program who offers world-class clinical care, fitness and mind-body wellness programs for Post-9/11 Service Members, Veterans, and their Families.

“Hey Cons, I thought you said there was a party?” Right, so who wants to kick off summer one weekend early this year? Even though SAFTB, we want guys and gals alike to join OperationHOH and ZBT as we cruise around the Boston Harbor and sip premium drinks to include but not limited to some of Chaps’ favorite full-bodied reds.

I’m bringing Riggsy as my date. I told Chaps to bring Mrs. Chaps. Feits will be there in some ridiculous nautical outfit. Carrabis has agreed to leave his basement. Spittin Chiclets wouldn’t miss an open bar. We even got friend of ZBT, Joe Cardona from the Patriots coming with some of his pals even though he’s a Navy guy (ps Beat Navy) to name a few. This is not to be missed and I’ll love you all for coming. Like, for real.

Get tickets here.
