That Viral Soccer Player Who Thanked His Wife And Girlfriend? He Says There's A TOTALLY Logical Explanation

BBC – A footballer whose post-match interview went viral after he thanked his wife and girlfriend has denied being unfaithful.

Ghanaian Mohammed Anas, of South Africa’s Free State Stars, told the BBC he was referring to his daughter.

“My family knows that I call my daughter my girlfriend. That’s what I was talking about. I don’t have a girlfriend,” he said.

Anas said he was not worried about his wife’s reaction.

“I love her so much. She’s given me two beautiful children. She is fine. She knows what kind of man I am so I am not worried,” he said.

Ohhhhhhh that totally explains it then. It’s not a situation of a side piece, it’s that he picks very creepy and confusing nicknames for his daughter. That’s totally normal. And the way he covered it up on the air and went out of the way to call his wife out by name and tell her he loves her…totally normal too. This guy is clearly as good at lying as he is at soccer and I won’t be the one who points out any logical inaccuracies there, no sir. Definitely didn’t pull that one out of his Anas.

At the same time, why not just blame the fact that clearly English is not his first language? I’m no expert at covering up adultery but if you say something like that how is that not immediately the first defense? If you made me talk in my mangled formerly-fluent-but-now-completely abandoned Spanish, I’d absolutely fuck up a word or two and go “Ahhh lo siento, muy malo en español” and people would instantly forgive. Hell I wish I could do that now, my life would have been so much easier if I could have walked back some things I said with a “No no in my native land ‘fuck your wife and stomp on your kids’ is a sign of peace and admiration” instead of the verbal diarrhea I spew. Could have saved my dignity and Loud Sean from risking serious heart and lung defects. Bottom line: Use the lie you’ve got, no reason to stretch for anything further. And of course:
