The Trailer For MTV The Challenge: Invasion Was Just Released And No Surprise It Looks Excellent

Well that’s one helllllll of a way to get the blood pumping on a Monday afternoon. Look, is The Challenge the most artistic form of entertainment on TV? Probably not. I bet Meryl Streep hates the fuck out of The Challenge (if that old bowl of dust even knew where MTV was on her cable guide). But The Challenge is like that group of friends that you have known forever and you love being around them just because of all the stupid shit you have done together. Sure other people may not understand the appeal or the stories, but fuck them.

Now this trailer had everything any diehard fan of The Challenge would ever want. It had:

1. Unintentional comedy, with Cory thinking he actually has a chance in hell to win the whole thing.

2. America’s Sweetheart. Love you, girl.

3. TJ changing EVERYTHING with a #supertwist.

4. Extreeeemely unnecessary shots of people puking.

5. THE CAMILLANATOR READY TO MURDER SOME POOR SOUL!!!

6. Bananas reminding people that this is The Challenge after likely stabbing a knife in their back.

7. And of course, what we’ve all really been missing, the sight of CT likely giving someone early stages of CTE.

I hope no I DEMAND that every Duel or whatever they call it is head to head physical combat.

Now I still don’t know how exactly the challenges and living situations will work. If I had to guess, I would say the Champs will be living in a nicer setup than the Challengers because they are the ones getting eyeballs on the TV and asses in the seats. And I hope it will be much harder to lose a champion that people love instead of some dope from Are You The One that we still don’t know the name of. But regardless of the set up, the fact remains that The Challenge is coming. And it’s coming soon with CT, Bananas, and a bunch of other awesome people in what has to be a bounce back season. Right? RIGHT?!? Right.
