Kris Motherfucking Bryant. 3 home runs, 2 doubles, 16 total bases, a Chicago Cub record. And all of it couldn’t have come at a better time. Last week was BRUTAL for the Cubs, losing 6 of 7 and looking completely out of rhythm for 7 straight days. Then you have Jake, who is quietly struggling with his command this season, not have a sharp outing again last night, only to be saved by Kris motherfucking Bryant. What an absolute beast. 22 home runs on the season, 12 road home runs, and the youngest Cub in history to have 3 home runs in a game.

It’s a long season, there will be ups and downs, weeks like last week and weeks where the Cubs are red hot, but the one constant it seems is that Kris Bryant is a baseball robot put on this earth to rake. So steady, so reliable. One of the top 10 position players in the game and can do it all. Hit to ever part of the field, hit for power, hit for average, field, run, play multiple positions.
