(Source) Wheaton native and wife of former Chicago Cub David DeJesus is playing a game of her own, sprinting around the world in the upcoming season of “The Amazing Race.” Kim DeJesus, 32, and Nicole “Nicky” Getz, 27, (wife of former White Sox player Chris Getz) are one of 11 teams vying for the $1 million prize when the CBS reality competition kicks off at 7 p.m. Sept. 29. David DeJesus signed a deal with the Cubs in 2011 but was traded to the Washington Nationals earlier this month and then quickly traded again to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Sox traded Chris Getz to the Kansas City Royals in 2009.

Thank you Amazing Race. Thank you for realizing exactly what we want. I haven’t watched an episode of Amazing Race ever but guess what, I will now. Because if you’re going to throw a couple of ex cubs and white sox wives in my face who happen to be smokes then I’m in.
