How Do You Think This Coastal Carolina Kid Slept Last Night? Elimination Game vs. NC State Game Postponed With Bases Loaded, 1 Out In The 9th

WRAL - NC State and Coastal Carolina will resume the Regional Championship at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

NCSU leads CCU 5-3 in the top of the ninth. The Chants have the bases loaded with one out.

CCU Sports – Michael Paez hit a two-run home run in the top of the first.

NC State added a run in the second.

Seth Lancaster singled and scored on a Matt Beaird ground out to put CCU up 3-1.

The Wolfpack scored a run in the fourth and two in the sixth to take a 4-3 lead. NC State tacked on another run in the eighth to lead 5-3.

In the ninth, Anthony Marks and Michael Paez walked. After a sacrifice bunt, Zach Remillard reached on an infield single to load the bases. The game was suspended as G.K. Young walked to the plate and he will be at the plate when the game resumes.

Just a quick update on some NCAA Baseball action.

Series-Of-The-Day yesterday goes to NC State/Coastal Carolina. NC State, playing out of the loser’s bracket, took down Coastal in game 1 – the highlight of that game provided by the coach.

The next game had State jump out to the lead, before Coastal started chipping away and making a big push in the top of the 9th. Bases loaded, 1 out…annnnnnd a rain delay.

How about the poor kid that had to go to sleep last night thinking about his at-bat today?

Seriously you can’t play that out? Must have been some fucking rain storm. Bases loaded for you in an elimination game with your team’s season on the line – not enough Ambien in the world for GK Young last night.

Game kicks off at 2 PM, never been more excited for the results of a college baseball at-bat.
