Bears President Kevin Warren is driving me up a wall with this stadium news and I'm sick of it
Icon Sportswire. Getty Images. When Kevin Warren got hired as the Chicago Bears President, he was brought here with ONE job: Build a new stadium for the Chicago Bears, specifically in Arlington Heights on the land the Bears purchased. We see stadium projects across the NFL happen pretty quickly, especially right now as it feels like half the league is building a new stadium…BUT NOT HERE! Kevin made a promise to the Bears fanbase, "there will be a shovel in the ground by the end of 2025". Welp, it's 2026. About to actually be April of 2026 and WE DON'T EVEN HAVE A LOCATION!
The other day he was doing an interview with NBC Sports and said that the Bears will have a final location by spring or summer, but do you know how many times we have heard that? I think I have heard that said at least 20 times during this entire process. And honestly that just brings me to my breaking point, I literally do not care anymore until we have a solidified final location and a shovel in the dirt.
My personal opinion on the new stadium is it should be in Arlington Heights. The Bears already own the land, over 50% of season ticket holders are from the northern Chicagoland suburbs, it's still in Illinois (lol), and you could build an entire Bears town there. Imagine showing up on Bears gameday to an entire district of Bears bars, Chicago sports museum, casino, and a massive tailgating scene? The best of every single world is in Arlington Heights.

The sole reason why being that the Bears wouldn't own the stadium still if they built there. They lose out on a LOT of money by not owning Soldier Field and they finally got sick of it.
Moral of the story, Kevin Warren and all governments involved, please for the love of everything FIGURE IT OUT! We are done with all of the talk and just want a new great place to watch Bears football. And also when eventually this is done, could we please get some lower beer prices man. We're sick and tired of paying $18 for a stadium beer, and that goes for Wrigley and all other Chicago stadiums too. Bear Down.
