We're Renting A Basement Apartment Together For A New Show | The Apartment: Episode 0

A couple of months ago, Rone, Feits, Caroline, Jackie and myself decided we wanted to start a show together. The issue? We had no idea what the show was going to be. After a ton of discussion, we landed on the only logical solution. We decided to rent a basement studio apartment in Chelsea together and record from there. The premise of the show is simple. We have to make enough money each month through ads/social media revenue/street performing/etc. to pay our rent of $2,600. Otherwise we are both out $520 each every single month. Some are calling it the most high stakes show in Barstool history! We are not looking to make any money for our own pockets. But we're also not looking to lose any money from our own pockets. We're trying to build a successful enough show where we can pay for a sick apartment and also make money for Barstool. But right now, we're all in the hole over $1,000 each. Personally, I've always liked the idea of being a "starving artist" so this is scratching that itch for me.

This episode is the behind the scenes of how the idea came together and how we found our apartment. Every Monday we'll have a new "podcast" type episode and then we'll have other videos dropping throughout the month. Consider it part podcast/part reality show/part social experiment. (I just like calling things social experiments).

Now the obvious question you're asking yourself is probably "Why would you guys voluntarily put yourself $30,000 into debt to record a show at a shitty apartment when you work for a ginormous media company with a multi-million dollar office?" Well, I guess you'll just have to follow the journey to find out!
