Ahhh, there is nothing sweeter than the taste of shutting someone up that runs their mouth too much. But in all honesty, I really didn't care too much about the "elves" comment. He tried to be funny, and he wasn't. I cared more about the "Cleveland is Cleveland" remarks in response to the hype surrounding the Browns. Buddy, the hype is real. This ain't your Daddy's Browns anymore. The Browns are your Daddy. And they're definitely your quarterback's Daddy.
Yikes. I see a lot of people on the internet bashing Joe Burrow for being the highest paid player ever and looking like a peewee quarterback yesterday. I want it on record that I like Joe Burrow. He's an Ohio State grad and an overall good guy. Plus he is basically the best quarterback in Browns franchise history, seeing as we haven't been able to beat ANYONE over the last three decades except for him. And nothing that happened yesterday changed any of that, seeing as Burrow led the Browns to another win, making him an absurd 1-5 all time against Cleveland.
Okay, I don't want to kick the man while he's down. His 14 for 31, 82 yard and zero touchdown performance speaks for itself. For those of you counting at home, that's $3.35 million dollars per yard the Bengals just signed him for. This blog is more about Ja'Marr Chase running his mouth and turning in a pedestrian 5 catch, 39 yard performance while simultaneously getting curb stomped by the "Cleveland is Cleveland" Browns. Your high powered offense put up THREE POINTS on the laughing stock of the league. My God, how dumb are these people that talk shit? Why give a team bulletin board material when you don't have to? Especially team's that have pass rushers like Myles Garrett that look like their bodies have been chiseled out of solid rock. Myles made it very clear before the game that he heard Ja'Marr Chase, and he made it very evident during the game as well.
I've never seen more domination of one franchise than what Myles Garrett does to the Bengals. And they continue to feed him with more material! Bunch of braindead clowns down there in Kentucky, I tell ya.
Okay, I don't know why I'm speeding so much time on the Bengals. Lions do not concern themselves with sheep. The real story from yesterday's game is that THE CLEVELAND BROWNS LOOKING LIKE A SUPER BOWL QUALITY FOOTBALL TEAM.
And that's not hyperbole. We just took the 2x defending AFC North Champions out to the woodshed. And that's saying it generously. We beat them in every single aspect of the game. Had the better QB. The better weapons. The better coach. And hands down, without question the better defense. I had to blink a few times and make sure I wasn't watching the '85 Bears there for a second.
Is this the best Browns team in franchise history?? It's already clearly the best Browns team in the last 30 years. And if I've said it once, I've said it 1000 times: we are going to run away with this division. The Steelers are who we thought they were: absolute dog shit. The Ravens are pedestrian and we all know it. They beat the worst team in the NFL, woohoo. So like everyone predicted, it's going to come down to the Bengals and the Browns. And uhhh, unless you're literally blind you know exactly who the better team is after yesterday.
