Netherlands' Manager Louis van Gaal Decided To Claim The World Cup Was Rigged For Argentina, Forgets Messi Is The Best Player In The World

[Source] - When asked to reflect on the World Cup in Qatar, he told Dutch outlet NOS: 'I don't really want to say much about it. When you see how Argentina gets the goals and how we get the goals, and how some Argentina players overstepped the mark and were not punished, then I think it all premeditated game.'

Alright, we're taking the whole Macrodosing script joke a little bit too far. I say this all the time, I love sports conspiracy theories one of my favorite things to get into a rabbit hole over. But not everything has to be a conspiracy theory. Argentina winning in Qatar wasn't because the World Cup was rigged. It was because Messi is the best player in the world. Just a little reminder of the match:

Yeah it was a wild match, but if it was rigged would Messi get a yellow card? I don't think so. Hey, I don't mind the theory of throwing it out there. He's no longer the manager of Netherlands, so not like he can get in trouble. But if we're throwing out conspiracy theories, clearly the World Cup was rigged for Netherlands to beat USA. You heard it here first, months after the fact. No shot we give up plenty of goals and miss chances without it being rigged and Gregg sucking.

That said, I'd love if it was rigged in hopes that Messi would sign in the Saudi League. Just play them like a fiddle, leave them with Ronaldo and some other scraps and come over to America instead. If that happened, Messi goes down as the greatest athlete of all time. Plus, we all know that the only rigging is to land the World Cup, not who wins.

Might just start claiming rigged after every loss. Can't prove it otherwise.
