Isaiah Alston STRIKES AGAIN! The Army WR Might've Already Made The Catch Of The Year In College Football

Can Isaiah Alston get an immediate-eligibility transfer to play for a team who'll actually throw him the ball? As the proud resident Isaiah Alston blogger, I will continue to gas up this young man's penchant for unbelievable one-handed catches until he gets his proper due.

For reference, here's what he pulled off last season for one of his whopping, easily team-high 16 receptions on the year:

Glad to see Army co-offensive coordinator Matt Drinkall give Alston props on the public platform of "X." But hey, Mr. Drinkall, you know what else would be pretty dope? GETTING WITH THE 21ST CENTURY.  You have hands-down the best wide receiver at any of the service academies. I'm willing to go out on a limb on that one without doing any research whatsoever to the possible contrary. USE HIM.

After I typed out that paragraph, I did decide to dig in on the latest in Black Knights football news. Turns out, head coach Jeff Monken is moving away from that antiquated, under-center triple-option scheme. Army will now operate mainly out of the shotgun. What a concept! That's amazing news. The main reason for the adjustment was the strict rules changes against cut blocks.

I assume a team that had 104 pass attempts to 648 carries in 2022 will still pound the rock way more often than not. What a shame, that. Can only imagine what Isaiah Alston could do with the opportunity to play elsewhere. He has the type of ball skills that translate anywhere and could have him Randy Moss'ing fools in the SEC.

It's not like the Black Knights have a bunch of world beaters on their 2023 schedule. If I were them, I'd build in at least five to seven jump ball situations for Alston PER GAME. Just alley-oop and feather that ball out to him whenever it's man coverage. Check into a go route. Let him eat.
