This weekend in Detroit, TIED DOWN - a massive hardcore music festival featuring TONS of the scene's biggest bands - was held in Detroit, and there are soooooo many great videos from various sets that I just had to share, even if the hardcore community doesn't want me to....

First, let's talk about this flying sparta kick from the top rope….
Insane on every level; the build up, the deadly intent, the accuracy, the landing - I've never seen anything like it.
This is par for the course at a show like this, though (despite the poor stage diving form) and most actual fans of the scene/genre are probably rolling their eyes at this seeming like a big deal to me.
Hell, the guy who ate that kick on the chin doesn't even care!

Now, let's talk about this dude begging to be choked off the stage by God's Hate frontman/AEW wrestler Brody King….
PMT talks about "Football Guys" a lot - this is a Hardcore Guy. My man just wants to get choked out and thrown into a pile of bodies for the boys. Nothing better than that.
I love Brody's initial confusion turning right into, "Oh, sure!" before he yoinked em, too.
Since my blog about an old CRT TV getting tossed into the pit during a King Nine x The Chisel set a few months ago, I've actually met a couple of these bands and dove (feet first) into the scene. I interviewed King Nine and Brody King….
….and even brought in a GANG CALLED SPEED from down undah for an awesome chat….
