"I'm The Mullins Guy Tonight" - Zack Hample Continues To Be The Greatest Villain In All Of Sports

Last night was a fun one at Camden Yards. RDT went into detail about the cool moment of Cedric Mullins finally meeting up with the MLB the Show streamer Littlemann17. You probably won't get it if you're not a video game person and/or don't have social media, but it was nice to see them link up. Cedric then went deep later in the game and who was there to catch it? Maybe the streamer himself in a story book moment?

*glass shatters

MY GOD THAT'S ZACK HAMPLE'S MUSIC!!! All hell has broken lease here at Camden Yards as Hample has caught the ball. Women and children first, everyone run. Save yourself!

Someone caught up with Hample after his snag, asking if he'd give the ball to the MLB the Show streamer. Hample was presented the chance to be a hero for once, similar to Angel Hernandez when he gave that one kid a ball after he took a homer off his head.

That could have been Hample last night. The narrative would have swung for at least for one day that he wasn't the spawn of satan. It was all set up for him. Here was his response.

"I AM THE MULLIN'S GUY"

I'm in tears. What a fucking reply. Hample went full heel! You want foul ball guy to give away a home run ball just because a streamer is a big fan of the guy that hit it? In this economy? Not on Zack Hample's watch.

I feel like for a long time we wished and begged LeBron to become the heel, but he'd just never lean into it. Not that I'm comparing LeBron James to Zack Hample, but they're both hated guys in their own fields. I mean the guy wrote a whole book on the art of catching foul balls. There's petitions all the time to ban him from every park in America. He'd probably shove a kid off a cliff if it meant he had a better chance at the ball. Now we have "I am the Mullin's guy" to add to the list. What a line.

I can't stand the dude. The mere sight of him at games is revolting, but at this point we're all forced to respect him for how much of an asshole he continues to be. He never wavers. Not for a moment. Every fan knows what his M.O. is the moment he steps into those outfield seats and yet no one is able to stop him.

We need villains in this world and Zack Hample is certainly one of them. One day we'll stop him. One day we'll get the best of him. But not last night.
