The Packers Are The Grinch, Looking To Steal The Dolphins Christmas

I stunk it up again, posting a record of 5-10-1 in Week 15. Overall I am 98-120-5.

Thursday Night

NYJ -1 (o/u 37)

Jets 16 Jaguars 13

The weather is expected to be frightful, which to the Jets might be delightful. Sadly, it will not be snow but rain, which will be a pain for the Jaguars. Look for the Jets' defense to stop the surging Jaguars and get the win.

Saturday at 1

Atl +7.5 (o/u 36)

Ravens 20 Falcons 16

The status of Lamar Jackson remains in question. The Ravens will likely win the game, but the spread feels too big without a healthy Jackson.

Det -2.5 (o/u 44)

Lions 23 Panthers 13

It has been a tale of two seasons for the Lions. Starting 1-6, the Lions have won six of their last seven and are at the doorstep of the postseason. They have played well on defense, turning around what was the worst unit in the league over the first two months. Look for the surge to continue.

Buf -8.5 (o/u 40.5)

Bills 34 Bears 20

This game will feel like it is being played at the North Pole, as an arctic blast follows a heavy snowstorm in Chicago. The Bills were born in the cold they are strengthened by the cold.

Cle -3 (o/u 32.5)

Browns 20 Saints 13

The Browns are trying to make a late surge for the playoffs with Deshaun Watson. They have played, winning three of their last four games. That will continue as the Browns bury the Saints.

KC -10 (o/u 49)

Chiefs 41 Seahawks 20

The Chiefs have a bad habit of playing down to the level of their opponent. The Seahawks are playing at a low level, losing four of their last five. Expect a big game from Patrick Mahomes as the Chiefs win going away.

Min -4 (o/u 48)

Vikings 27 Giants 17

The Vikings staged the biggest comeback in NFL history last week, overcoming a 33-0 deficit to beat the Colts. I expect them to carry the momentum as they beat the Giants and secure the second seed in the NFC.

Cin -3.5 (o/u 41.5)

Bengals 30 Patriots 17

Don't look now. The Bengals are surging and looking for a return to the Super Bowl. Winners of their last six games, they are the hottest team in the NFL. The Patriots, meanwhile, are coming off a stunning loss in Las Vegas, where they threw the game away. Hard to see the Patriots bouncing back as the days of Belichick being a genius are over.

Ten -3 (o/u 36)

Titans 17 Texans 13

The Titans are playing terrible football, losing their last four games. Ryan Tannehill is out, and Malik Willis is in. This game is crucial for Tennessee, as loss drops them to 7-8. Derrick Henry has tormented the Texans and will do it again as the Titans end their losing streak.

Saturday Late Games

SF -7 (o/u 38)

49ers 23 Commanders 3

With a playoff spot on the line, the Commanders played poorly at home last week. Now they face the 49ers with the best defense in the NFL. Expect the Niners to shut down Washington and continue their surge as Brock Purdy continues to play well.

Dal -5 (o/u 47)

Cowboys 27 Eagles 16

With Jalen Hurts hurting and the Eagles one win away from the top spot in the NFC, expect the Eagles to play it safe and start Garner Minshew. This game would have been hard for the Eagles with a health Hurts, so expect the Cowboys to get the win.

Saturday Night

Pit -2.5 (o/u 38.5)

Steelers 20 Raiders 17

This game was to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception, as Franco Harris has his #32 retired. However, after the death of Harris on Wednesday, it will take on more meaning. He was looking for an inspired game by the Steelers, who looking to stay in the race.

Christmas

Mia -4 (o/u 49.5)

Dolphins 30 Packers 24

The Dolphins are coming in after losing their last three games on the road. Coming home, they must play strong and fix the defensive lapses to get back on track; in other words, they need to win to not ruin my Christmas.

LAR +2.5 (o/u 36.5)

Rams 12 Broncos 9

Naughty children will receive tickets to this game instead of coal from Santa.

TB -7.5 (o/u 40.5)

Buccaneers 24 Cardinals 10

Despite a sub.500 record, the Buccaneers have smooth sailing to the NFC South title, as the division is awful. Even worse is the Cardinals, who are 1-6 in Arizona.

Monday Night

LAC -4.5 (o/u 46.5)

Chargers 31 Colts 13

The Colts are turning to Nick Foles after blowing a 33-0 lead with Matt Ryan last week. The damage has been done, and the Colts are glue.
