The Dolphins December Dive Will Continue When They Get Buried in Buffalo This Weekend
A winning record for Week 14 saw me go 7-6, while my overall record is awful at 93-110-4.
Thursday Night
SF -3.5 (o/u 43.5)
49ers 23 Seahawks 10
The 49ers' defense has been having a monster season and making life easy for the offense playing with a rookie third-string quarterback. Look for Brock Purdy to continue playing Purdy well as the Niners win in Seattle.
Saturday
Min -4 (o/u 48.5)
Vikings 30 Colts 17
It might be Saturday, but the game won't belong to Saturday's Colts, as the Vikings rebound off a loss in Detroit and clinch the NFC North.
Cle -3 (o/u 37)
Browns 20 Ravens 10
The Ravens are banged at quarterback, as Lamar Jackson is likely out while Tyler Huntley is recovering from a concussion. The Browns know they have Deshaun Watson, who makes his home debut with a win.
Buf -7.5 (o/u 42)
Bills 52 Dolphins 3
Disaster, pain, and misery. The Dolphins season is all but over, as Tua Tagovailoa has been exposed. This game in the snow and cold will be over after five minutes, as the Dolphins' December dive will never end.
Sunday at 1
Car -3 (o/u 37.5)
Panthers 17 Steelers 13
Sam Darnold has played well since returning from injury. The Panthers appear to be making a late run at the NFC South as Steve Wilkes makes his case to be named permanent coach. With Kenny Pickett questionable, it is hard to see the Steelers getting the win.
Phi -9 (o/u 48.5)
Eagles 51 Bears 17
The Bears' defense has been the worst in the NFL since the trade deadline saw them trade Roquan Smith and Robert Quinn. The Eagles, with Jalen Hurts looking to win the NFL MVP, will light up the scoreboard like a Christmas Tree and score at will.
KC -14 (o/u 49.5)
Chiefs 44 Texans 15
The Texans gave their best effort last week, holding a fourth-quarter lead over the Cowboys, before realizing they were going for the tank. Don't expect them to repeat the performance as the Chiefs take them to the woodshed.
Dal -4 (o/u 47.5)
Cowboys 27 Jaguars 17
The Jaguars have been playing strong football in recent weeks, but it is a long road before winning a game like this. Look for the Cowboys to shake off an ugly game with an impressive win in Jacksonville.
Atl +4 (o/u 43)
Falcons 20 Saints 17
The loser of this game will likely be eliminated from a chance to win the pathetic NFC South. The Saints rallied to beat Atlanta in Week 1 with Jameis Winston under center. However, with Andy Dalton scuffling, I sense a defensive battle with the Falcons getting a win on the road.
NYJ -1 (o/u 44.5)
Jets 16 Lions 13
After a poor start, the Lions are making a late playoff push. They have played well over the last six games, winning five, as their offense and defense have improved since their 1-6 start. After two tough losses on the road, the Jets come home with their playoff hopes on the line. Expect the Gang Green defense to have a big day as they win a defense war in the Meadowlands.
Sunday Late Games
Den -3 (o/u 36.5)
Broncos 13 Cardinals 9
This could be the worst game of the year, as Russell Wilson remains in concussion protocol while Kyle Murray is out after tearing his ACL. The game looked bad enough, but a quarterback meeting of Colt McCoy and Brett Rypien is brutal; you might be better off caroling if you had this game on in your market.
NE -1 (o/u 44.5)
Patriots 24 Raiders 20
Bill Belichick against a former assistant is always intriguing. This game is the lone exception, as the Patriots are making a playoff push, while the Raiders are left to lament the four games they have blown after having big leads.
LAC -3 (o/u 47.5)
Chargers 27 Titans 16
There is something rotten in Nashville, as the Titans have dropped their last three games. Derrick Henry has had trouble dropping the ball on the ground, while Ryan Tannehill is just getting dropped.
Cin -3.5 (o/u 44)
Bengals 26 Buccaneers 17
Pro football is a young man's game, and Joe Burrow is showing that he could take the Bengals back to the Super Bowl. Cincinnati has won their last five games, with Burrow outdueling Patrick Mahomes along the way. Tom Brady and his Buccaneers are struggling as they hope to stay afloat in the NFL's worst division.

Commanders 27 Giants 17
Two weeks ago, these teams played to a 20-20 tie. The Giants are going in the wrong direction, with just one win in their last six games. The Commanders, meanwhile, are playing well and can get into playoff position with a win.
Monday Night
LAR +7 (o/u 39.5)
Packers 24 Rams 20
This game looked more appealing at the start of the season, as the Super Bowl Champion Rams faced the Packers, who had the best record in the regular season. With both teams nearly out of the playoff race, this game is as disappointing as receiving a Fruit Cake on Christmas Day.
