Derrick Henry Is Awesome But The Titans Are AWFUL
So you remember this week when the Titans said they were at a crossroad and had to figure out what direction they were going to go in and then they fired their GM like 2 days later? Yeah I think I know which way they went at the crossroads. They let Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars come into their house and absolutely piss down their throats. They had TREVOR LAWRENCE WAVING BYE TO THE FANS. Are you kidding me? Trevor Lawrence stunting on your fans in your building?
What a disgusting performance by everyone. Everyone. The offensive line is garbage, Dennis Daley is the worst football player ever, Ryan Tannehill was getting sacked every time he dropped back, the defense can't stop a single soul through the air. Like can't stop anyone. It's disgusting. You fire your GM after getting blown out last week and this is how you respond? Pathetic. It's pathetic.
Quite literally couldn't have responded any worse than Tennessee did. Boo birds were out early and often and rightfully so. The only thing that went well for the Titans was also something that hurt them. Derrick Henry is good. He's really good. He's 11 carries for 94 yards and a TD in the first quarter good. I thought we were gonna be on 200 yard watch again. And then the Jaguars gave up 2 yards to Henry in the second half. 2 yards. Henry ended up with 17 carries for 121 yards, 3 catches for 34 yards and a touchdown on the ground but 2 fumbles lost. The Titans averaged almost 7 yards a carry but couldn't run the ball in the second half because their defense couldn't get off the field and the offense couldn't stop turning the ball over. They shut down the Jags running game but holy shit did the Jags passing offense have a day. EVAN ENGRAM having 162 and 2 TDs? Hilarious. Just hilarious.
That fumble was the straw that broke the camel's back as the Jaguars scored on yet another Titans turnover. Turned the ball over 4 times vs none for the Jags. Just a disgusting performance after a emotional week where they needed to show some life. Henry and Chig were the only ones who showed life at all. Secondary got absolutely abused and eaten up, it was disgusting. They were 7-3 and now sit 7-6, they're still in first place in the division because of how bad it is, but I don't think anyone has confidence in this team going forward. Sure they'll win the division and then they will get their teeth kicked in by someone much better in the playoffs.
Trevor Lawrence just owning the Titans in their house, awful. Everything is awful in Tennessee right now.
