It Took One Game To Confirm That Kourtney Kellar's Gameday Routine Will Determine How Good The Knicks Are This Year

I agree that we won't catch Kourtney Kellar at MSG looking crusty. That would be a catastrophe. A bad day even, perhaps a sad day. But this is what I need from her. This exact routine every game. Why? 

Because Isaiah Hartenstein is a game changer for the Knicks. Not in the sense that he's going to get 20 every night or turn the Knicks into a title team. But because he's a stretch 5 who lets the Knicks actually look ... decent on offense. That combined with Jalen Brunson and RJ turning into a more effective scorer. Yeah, gonna need this to keep happening. 

That's the exact sort of player a team needs in order to improve. Again, I'm not asking for the world. A playoff win would be preferred. Grow the kids. Let RJ, IQ, Grimes, Deuce and Mitch grow. Let Jalen Brunson be good. And for the love of all things holy don't let Kourtney Kellar show up to MSG crusty. 

I'm not going to write a full game recap or anything, because, well, it's fucking preseason basketball. So here's what you need to know. The Knicks won, even proof of it: 

The Knicks FINALLY have a point guard. I'm talking about a real point guard. A guy who can initiate offense whether it's for himself or for teammates. The man is Jalen Brunson. Nice little 16 and 5 night (with 1 turnover) in just 20 minutes. Dude can run the show and help someone like RJ and Randle. That's why we got an effective Randle. 

Oh and RJ is good. Just admit it. 

21 and 5 on just 14 shot attempts. Hitting threes. Thank you RJ. Be the No. 3 pick like you truly are. All good. Same with the bench - Obi, IQ, Rose, Hartenstein and Deuce. This team is going to be fun. 

But Kourtney Kellar it's on you now. No being crusty, must match Hartenstein from here on out.
