Jalen Rose Has Officially Surpassed Charles Barkley For All-Time Worst Golf Swing By A Former NBA Player

I'm dying over here. Jalen Rose was a sensational college basketball player at Michigan and enjoyed a lengthy NBA career, but his athletic ability has yet to translate to the links. The man whiffed five times and could barely make a backswing. Even some pointers from the (arguable) GOAT Jack Nicklaus didn't help.

I feel like the old Golden Bear could've assisted Jalen a little more than he did. Jack chose verbal violence instead, roasting Rose upon his initial approach and giving him some pretty fucking mid advice for someone who's so knowledgeable about the game.

For as long as I can remember, Charles Barkley was the retired NBA player who had the most atrocious golf swing of all-time. Sir Charles carried that torch with pride. He persevered through countless lessons, including from one of Tiger's former coaches, Hank Haney. Chuck has managed to straighten things out, but my lord, it was a battle between the ears for many years. Notably, The Round Mound of Rebound flat-out could not transition from his backswing to downswing. A little hitch in the giddy-up. More like a glitch in the space-time continuum, or so it seemed.

I love how grainy these videos are. It's like capturing footage of a UFO or Bigfoot. It almost can't be of this world, what The Round Mound of Rebound used to do on a golf course. The man was playing a different sport. Golf wasn't difficult enough with a normal swing.

At least even back then, Chuck could get the club to a decent position at the top of his swing. His struggle was failing to take his form from the driving range to the course. As mentioned above, Charles got it together and can now stripe it in front of the general public!

I'm willing to cut Jalen a little break here. I mean, at least he didn't spray the ball into the gallery. Can't drill unsuspecting fans if you can't make contact.

With some hard hours on the range and a legit swing coach, I'm sure Jalen could figure out this golf thing if he had any interest in doing so. Seems like a busy man, though, and that all-world, mind-bendingly strong hairline needs careful manscaping. No time to grind away at golf if you're gonna sacrifice any upkeep on that pristine flow. Won't blame you for tending to your sod, Jalen.
