The Angels Lost A Game On A Series Of 9th Inning Gaffes That Were Shockingly Awful Even By Their Standards
There’s literally nothing you could tell me that happened in an Angels game that I wouldn’t believe. Nobody watches the games anyway, you just see however they fucked up the next day on Twitter.
They hit seven home runs and lost? Checks out. Shohei Ohtani threw eight scoreless innings and had four RBI only for the bullpen to give up five in the ninth? Sounds about right.
The Angels just invent ways to lose. Maybe none greater, however, than this number they pulled out in the ninth inning against the Mariners on Monday night, when nobody in the infield thought it important enough to cover home plate with the go-ahead run streaking down the line.
Actually, I take that back. Aaron Loup *tried* to get to the plate — after just hanging out around the mound for a while — and ended up flat on his face. You can’t make it up with this team.

Then they tried to go home again instead of getting an inning-ending double play and still couldn’t get an out there.
If you’re an Angels fan that really cares about this team’s performance and watches it every night, I am genuinely sorry. Nobody deserves this shit every night for six months.
Fittingly, the final out came on a HBP strikeout.
Someone save Shohei.
