Steelers Rookie George Pickens Made One Of The Most Low-Effort, High Degree of Difficulty TD Catches You'll Ever See

What am I even looking at? Maybe there's some alternate speed that this replay is clipping along at, but I swear it looks like Steelers wide receiver George Pickens is straight-up jogging down the field. Then he barely accelerates, creates a touch of separation from Seahawks corner Coby Bryant, wins the hand-fighting battle and somehow gets both feet in the back of the end zone for a 26-yard touchdown grab.

As a Bengals fan, I could lie to myself and say Pickens pushed off but I don't believe that to be the case. It also brought me no pleasure a while back to declare George Pickens to be the NFL's training camp MVP by a significant margin. When you factor in the spark he could bring to a Mitch Trubisky-led passing attack, the increasing value of the position he plays and how flat-out good he is, Pickens is the obvious choice.

Beyond the toe-drag swag of Pickens' first TD as a pro, it just kind of pisses me off that Pittsburgh seems almost incapable of whiffing on a draft pick at the wide receiver position. Yeah I know the Bengals drafted their entire studly trio, too, but like...the Steelers in general just seem to get steals left and right. I took Pickens super late in my fantasy football draft, and am feeling less gross about that decision by the day. Don't worry Who Dey faithful, Joey B and Ja'Marr are locked in my starting lineup.

Had he not torn his ACL before last season at Georgia and played more than one game, I doubt Pickens would've lasted till Day 2 of the draft like he did. Pickens has the competitive fire, brashness and audacity to be a great NFL player. He's going full villain to the rest of the AFC North by paying homage to Antonio Fucking Brown of all morons.

Not saying AB wasn't great. Just saying…fuck that guy. George Pickens, maybe shout out Hines Ward by flashing a big, stupid-ass grin the next time you score or something. Hell, maybe this is the best thing Pickens could've done. Now maybe Mike Tomlin will resent the rookie so much for even making Antonio Brown so much as cross his mind that he'll send Pickens to the sidelines, or knock him down the depth chart.

Nah but seriously…the fact that Pickens is this sick already and Tomlin has never had a losing season as a head coach make me nervous about the Steelers. Again. Oh well. At least we don't have to put up with Ben Roethlisberger's shit anymore.

At least us Bengals and Steelers fans can despise Deshaun Watson together right?
