The PLL Season Starts Up This Week So Now Is Your Last Chance To Hop On The Lacrosse Bandwagon Before It's Too Late

The college lacrosse season came to an end yesterday with Maryland finishing their perfect season off with a national championship. Typically Memorial Day Weekend would mark the end of the year to try to get non-lacrosse fans into the sport. We had one weekend every year to try to capture as many new fans as possible, and then that was it.

But with the PLL entering it's 4th season with a talent pool as loaded as ever, lacrosse season is pretty much just starting right now. We still have an entire summer ahead of us filled with the best lacrosse you'll ever watch. There are still only 8 teams so every team is beyond loaded. You throw any game on one of these weekends in the summer and you're guaranteed to see a handful of legitimate superstars on the field at any given time. Just think about the Stanley Cup Playoffs right now where you have McDavid, MacKinnon, Makar, Draisaitl, Stamkos, Vasilevskiy, Shesterkin, Fox and Hedman all playing right now. Every single weekend in the PLL season is like that. And not only do you get to watch the best players on the planet every game, but the league also gets some of the most majestic footage of all these highlights.

I have no idea how it's possible to get a shot that clear but I'm super thankful the PLL's content team has been able to figure it out. But yeah. There's an insane amount of talent in the league and an insane amount of highlights that get churned out every time these guys step on a field. And in the summer when there's nothing else besides baseball to watch every day? I genuinely believe the only reason why there are still some folks out there who haven't hopped on the lacrosse bandwagon is because they're just afraid that they'll actually fall in love with the sport if they watch it. The only reason to not tune into the PLL this summer is if you are so deathly afraid of becoming a lacrosse fan that you actively choose to not watch. And for any of those folks out there who get over their fear this summer and choose to watch a few games? We welcome you with open arms because you'll be a fan for life.

By the way, we'll have a full PLL season preview episode of The Crease Dive coming out later this week where we actually get into the teams and matchups we're excited to see this year. This was more or less an appetizer for that. But in the meantime, here are a few things you may have missed from 2021.
