Luka Doncic Did Approximately 46 Different Moves And Fakes To Undress Cam Johnson For A Bucket

Anyone who watches basketball can grasp that the Dallas Mavericks are outmanned against the reigning Western Conference champion Phoenix Suns, but Luka Doncic will do anything to rally his teammates and put them on their back for an upset bid.

After his 45-point effort in the second-round opener didn't translate to a "W", Luka was undeterred. In fact, he seemed to channel all that frustration into Suns wing Cam Johnson, who was on the business end of a dizzying array of fakes the Mavs superstar pulled en route to an AND-1:

This guy bends the simulation with some of the passes he makes, an at the age of 23, already has this array of moves in his offensive arsenal. Sometimes it's easy to forget this guy has been playing pro basketball for, like, seven or eight years now or something crazy. Then again, you see shit like this and you feel like an idiot for even thinking that thought for a split second.

The Mavs forgot how to play defense in Game 1, which is a problem when Luka is driving every bit of the offensive effort. It's kind of a dilemma for Dallas, because they seem to move the rock better when Luka is on the bench, yet he creates so many shots for himself and others that it's acceptable for him to play hero ball. I'd like to think we'll see a competitive series, but if Luka is working this hard for many of his buckets, not sure he's gonna have a lot in the tank when Dallas needs him most.
