Well Shit, Jayson Tatum Has Entered The Health And Safety Protocols

It was actually surprising it took thing long for Tatum to be impacted considering his entire team has been in the protocols these last few days. It’s what makes me feel like we’re only moments away from getting the same news about Jaylen. Here’s a quick look at what the Celts lineup will look like tonight in MIN
Things are just as bad for them too, so it’s not as if the Celts are the only ones dealing with this issue
The league made it clear, if you have 8 guys, you play. I’m still a little confused as to why some games got postponed rather than those teams being able to sign 10 Day guys but whatever, this is reality for the NBA right now. Everyone is just trying to survive. Things just get a whole lot harder for this team since now it includes their best player being out along with all those rotation players. Love that.
What also concerns me is Tatum’s overall health. We all saw what his battle with covid did to him last season. It messed him up pretty good and lingered for a few weeks even after he returned. We don’t know if he’s asymptomatic or what, but either way this is not something that I would call ideal. Especially at a time when the Celts need every win they can get since they won’t stop choking away games. Having to do that without your best player is certainly a challenge. Pretty sure teams will just double Jaylen and the Celts might not score 60 points a night. It could get real ugly.
We already saw what this team looked like without Jaylen. It wasn’t great! Having those guys active is sort of important to how this roster was built. Now, it’s mostly 10 day guys, role players, and Jaylen. That’s rough. Fortunately the Hospital Celtics have some experience together so at least there’s that. Am I spinzoning hard right now? Yup, sure am. What else is there to do? This shit sucks.
