The Cars From 'Mad Max: Fury Road' Are Up For Auction And I Would Like A Loan

Giphy Images.

Even though I am fresh off of an auction draft that I fucked up bad(I tried to drive up the price on Zeke and get someone else to bite, ended up getting stuck with him), I would like to put my name in the hat for this auction. The collection of cars in 'Mad Max: Fury Road' is arguably the most iconic in movie history. I feel like I could identify any of them by picture, but apparently all of the ones not named THE WARHORSE also have names! Lets take a look

THE GIGAHORSE (1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille)

THE DOOF WAGON (Repurposed 8x8 M.A.N. Missile-Carrier)

RAZOR COLA (Ford Falcon XB GT)

NUX CAR(3 Window Chevy Coupe)

CALTROP: EL DORADO(1972 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado)

CLAWCAR (1980 Ford F250)

BUICK: HEAVY ARTILLERY WITH HUMMER WEAPON MOUNT (1948 Buick Special 4-door Sedan)

THE WAR RIG (Combination of Tatra T815 18 Wheeler base and 1947 Chevy Fleetmaster Sedan cab)

The War Rig might be the white whale, but it is CRAZY impractical even by Mad Max Standards. To me, the Razor Cola is the one to get. The Interceptor is one of the coolest cars in movie history dating all the way back to the original Mad Max. Some billionaire we've never heard of is going to end up buying this and storing it in a shipping container. How tragic. OR maybe that prick Jay Leno buys it and puts it in his garage. No matter what way I spin this, I don't like where that beautiful hunk of junk ends up going.

Now, if I can somehow sneak into this auction with a large loan and bid on that beautiful Eldorado, I am willing to hear all offers. Keep in mind that the benefactor must also pay out-of-pocket for the shipping costs to get the car from Australia to Manhattan. In the words of Rico Bosco, that's just the cost of doing business, baby!
