The Bucks Are In A World Of Trouble If They Run Into K'Von Huerter In The Conference Finals

Well this is fantastic. Make no mistake, Kevin Huerter already has an A+ nickname in Red Velvet. That plays. Everyone knows a nickname can make or break your NBA career. I'm pretty sure Davis Bertans got 82M simply because his nickname is the Latvian Laser. But now that we know the Hawks have an alter ego for Huerter when he plays well is even better. He's basically a real life Kip Dynamite only with a silky smooth jumper.

Looking back at the Hawks current playoff run, Huerter has been way more of a K'Von than a Kevin. He shot 49.5/45% in the first series, and then against the Sixers he was great in 4 of the 7 games including playing the game of his life to end their season

Safe to say if the Hawks are going to continue to shock the world and actually make the NBA Finals, this is the version of Huerter they need to get. Especially with De'Andre Hunter out and Bogdan Bogdanovic dealing with a bum knee. Now would be a terrible time for him to morph back into Kevin. We saw Kevin in Game 5 when he went 0-7 (0-4) and finished with 4 points. Luckily for him the Sixers are frauds and blew that game, but something tells me that's not as likely with the Bucks. For them to pull this off they need a ton of K'Von and for Kevin to be nowhere in sight.

I also think it's likely that the Bucks find their shooting rhythm this series. They shot the ball uncharacteristically terrible against the Nets, especially from three. That means guys like Trae Young and Huerter are going to have to show up when it comes to letting it fly from deep if they want to keep pace with MIL. That should be no problem for K'Von. Kevin? Well that would make me nervous as a Hawks fan.

It really is becoming harder and harder to not love this Hawks team and their story. From the upsets to Trae Young becoming an all time villain to Clint Capela talking shit to John Collins trolling Embiid, it's been fantastic. Honestly, that's the case with any of the final four teams. They all have great storylines and it would be awesome to see any of them win it. When is the last time we said that? Feels like never.
