New York and Maryland Have Conceded That They Look Up To Ohio, The Most Intelligent State In The Country

Well, well, well....

Well, well, well, well, well, well, well....

I've been blogging on this site for three years now, and it doesn't matter if I'm writing about sports, pop culture, cryptocurrency, or my morning bowel movement, the esteemed commenters down below make sure to let me know that my pea sized Ohio brain is not equipped to comment on the subject. Let me say this: I hope you guys aren't from New York or Maryland. Because I don't want to have to take away your computer privileges and send you to your room.

The way I see it, Ohio is like the Consigliere to the other states. Someone that must be consulted before making any large decisions. Because the big brains in Ohio created an ingenious lottery to give 5 random vaccinated citizens $1,000,000 in each of the next 5 Wednesdays. First drawing is in two days….I'm thinking about going to get another jab….

And of course now Ohio vaccinations are skyrocketing, so the other states with more of a follower than innovator type leaders are joining in.

The Maryland Lottery will offer a $40,000 prize every day to a randomly selected vaccinated resident from May 25 to July 3. Then, on July 4, the state will offer a jackpot of $400,000.

Typical Maryland. We give you the blueprint and you still can't follow it. Ohio is dishing out life changing money each of the next 5 weeks. You're going to pass out the equivalent of working a minimum waged job each year. Although I will admit that the daily selection is sure to get people excited, nothing will rival the scene walking around Ohio on Wednesday before the drawing. I know some people are complaining that it's coming from tax payers money (it's not), but if they just livestream this thing they'll make up for the $5 million and then some with commercials. The state is BUZZING.

And then there's New York….

There are 13 prize tiers in the "Vax-N-Scratch" program, from the lowest win at $20 to the $5 million jackpot. The chances of winning some amount of money are 1 in 9, according to Cuomo.

Not surprised by New York here, either. Everyone gets a trophy in New York these days. Odds of winning some amount of money are 1 in 9? My gosh. That's like the idiots on Twitter that are chirping back at Ohio saying the pot is too large, and that they should divide that $5 million up between EVERYONE that has been vaccinated. Agreed, send me my $3 in the mail please. Idiots.

At least none of us are West Virginia though…

West Virginia offering $100 saving bonds to people ages 16 to 35. Schools and private businesses have also added their own incentives, ranging from a free donut to tuition credit.

$100? A FREE DONUT? Not to stereotype here, but I'd assume the people in the hills of West Virginia may need a little more incentive than a warm, glazed Krispy Kreme to get this shot. Time to pony up and make some lucrative lotteries like the rest of the states. We've all had to stay inside for over a year. I want to see states start tossing out covid millions left and right like they're Oprah.
