In a Fully Display of Dominance Gerrit Cole Out-Dueled Shane Bieber And Gave the Yankees Their Third Win in a Row

Yankees 2 Indians 1

Awesome matchup of aces on display Saturday in Cleveland. Went a little differently than Game 1 of the opening round in the postseason last year as both guys were very on from the jump. Bieber and Cole traded zeroes until the 4th when Eddie Rosario drove in Jose Ramiez who had previously missed a homer by inches the at bat before. That was the only blemish on 45’s line as he dismantled this Tribe lineup all night long. Cole’s finished line was excellent. 7 innings 3 hits 1 run zero walks and 11 strikeouts. He was dominant, as he has been all month long. He brings the goods each and every start and it’s truly a privilege to watch him pitch for this team. I fucking love this man.

Bieber looked untouchable until the 5th when who but Aaron Hicks and Rougned Odor (this fucking guy!) went yard to give the Yanks the lead.

Rougned hasn’t been the greatest player in his short stint with the Yankees, but he’s come up with some big time hits and I’m loving it. The bat drops are awesome and the home runs are even better. A major upgrade from whatever Tyler Wade has been trying to do for the last few years.

The Yankees have quietly won themselves three games in a row. We call that a winning streak around these parts. Hell, they even got a series victory while they were at it. Who woulda thought they could accomplish such a feat?Going for the sweep tomorrow let’s keep this up boys.

P.s. Some are calling me a hero for this magic bracelet I started wearing on Thursday after the team trailed 3-0 in the first. It has not come off since and the team hasn’t lost.
