Fore Please! Your Masters Sunday Betting Preview

Hello friends and welcome to Sunday at the Masters. Hideki Matsuyama has jumped ahead of the fray and is control of this Tournament, but he can't sit on his heels and expect that he can coast to a Green Jacket. He may have positioned himself as an odds-on favorite (and an expensive hedge for a fellow like me who is heavily positioned on other players) with his late charge here, but he's still -137. That goes to show that this Tournament is far from over. There's action aplenty to get into elsewhere so let's hit it.

The Conditions

Phenomenal weather here for a Masters Sunday with a mild wind in the mix. But what I'm focused on here is the pin positions. Very much back to the traditional pins after they threw us for a loop on Sunday in the Fall. Blasphemous what they did taking away that 16th pin from us. So good to have it back. Obligatory clips.

The Board

As I said, Hideki is in the driver's seat and is the odds on favorite, but he's not a heavy favorite. As well as he hit it on the back 9 yesterday, he only hit 5 of 14 fairways and 12 of 18 greens. His misses with his driver were small and he'll have to keep it that way to stay on top. There's enough guys at -7 and -6 that odds are one of them is gonna go low with something around 67. The objective for Hideki should be to go out and shoot a 69. I've hedged on Hideki so I'm not taking on action from any of these other guys chasing him, but if there's a value I think it might be Rose. We saw him go bananas once this week and +1000 feels like a good number for that.

Other bets

Justin Thomas -152 over Cam Smith - There's no way JT repeats the boneheaded mistakes he made yesterday. He made a great charge on Sunday in the Fall to finish T-4 and I expect he'll do something similar today.

Si Woo Kim over Bernd Wiesberger -155 - Si Woo has been striking the ball better than almost everybody this week. Putter/3W has been hit or miss on the greens but he could light it up today

Justin Rose over Marc Leishman -105 - I'm surprised that Rose is the dog here to Leishman's -122. This one is a hammer.

There ya have it. Short and sweet. Let's have ourselves a Sunday at the Masters.
