Watch Francis Ngannou's Hometown Of Batié, Cameroon React To His Championship Winning KO Last Night

Chills on Chills on Chills on Chills.

WOW. Francis Ngannou gave a special shoutout to everyone in Cameroon who had stayed up to watch him last night in his post-fight interview (considering it was like 4am there), and my first thought was, "God damn, I hope we're gonna get to see some reaction videos from out there!" Hometown championship celebrations are always the best, especially in places where the championship has never been.

Sure enough, I wake up this morning, and there's Batié, Cameroon just goin berserk for their guy. Pure happiness right there.

I love Stipe Miocic - I really do - but you just can't deny how amazing that above clip is, and how great Francis Ngannou as Champ will be for the future of heavyweight mixed martial arts.

We're now talkin about a Heavyweight Champ who DC wouldn't have even dared stepping into the octagon with....

….and a man who's truly the closest thing MMA has seen to Mike Tyson maybe ever, in terms of terrifying one punch knockout power at the heavyweight level. That's gonna attract plenty of eyeballs.

I shared this last night, but I'm gonna post it again for anyone who missed it….

Just an incredible (and heartbreaking) life story that makes it impossible not to be happy for this guy, having persevered through it all and working his way to the top of the mountain in mixed martial arts. Truly the shit movies are made of - even going back to the first Stipe loss - it's all perfect now. Every loss and setback has just made the payoff that much more sweet.

"As long as you have a dream and believe in yourself, I think success if just a matter of time." -Francis Ngannou

P.S. Stipe is all good….

Heal up soon Champ.
