Texas Players Get Into A Fight During A Huddle, Immediately Blow A 19-Point Lead To West Virginia

There's the chaos I expected today. What I did not expect was to see Texas guards, experienced and having played together for years getting into it while up 19. Up 19 at home! How are you fighting when you're up 19 at home? Well, guess what happened right after that? Yep, a WVU come back and we're officially on is this the same old Shaka and Texas offense bullshit? I like this WVU team a ton, but Texas should not be blowing 19 point leads at home to anyone. They are way too talented, way too deep and way too experienced to blow games like that.

Now, because it's college hoops we of course have controversy. Here's the final play:

A fucking beautiful play design by Shaka. Sims gets hit on the hand but the debate comes in whether hand is part of the ball and is the ball already released. At the same time, part of the reason he was open? Right here:

Two completely missed calls. But that's not the point. You know what? Just don't fucking blow a 19 point lead at home, pretty simple. I also know Texas fans and backers will talk about WVU shooting 37 free throws. That's not shocking. Texas is 292nd in the country in fouling. They foul all the damn time. WVU is 59th in the country in getting to the free throw line. Again, that number is a lot, but it's not shocking to see a difference there. I love blaming refs as much as the other, but this falls on Texas getting complacent. You can't blow that lead. Shit, Texas missed the front end of a 1-and-1 with 10 seconds left down 2. Just make your free throws.

Texas is now 7-5 in the Big 12 and hasn't beaten a tournament team since the near buzzer beater against WVU back on January 9. They are 3-5 since then. All I know is players getting into arguments in team huddles isn't a huge deal. It happens. That being in the middle of a collapse is a huge deal though. Texas has gotta figure shit out again soon.
