LETS GO BIG BLUE: Patrick Graham Has Signed An Extension With The Giants And Will Not Interview With Any Teams About Their Head Coaching Vacancy

Hey NFC East...

I thought Giants fans, players, and everyone at MetLife was going to be on pins and needles after every Patrick Graham interview with a team about their head coaching position. Instead we get the coordinator of our best unit from this season locked up and ready to roll next year. Suddenly the news of Dave Gettleman returning is a faint memory for most Giants fans. This feels like when the Giants locked up Steve Spagnuolo with a fat new contract extension so he wouldn't go to Washington. Granted that was coming off of a Super Bowl victory instead of a 6-10 season. But being able to build on what was established on defense this year with Patty Graham putting QBs back in his torture chamber is huuuuuge (preferably with you know, an actual stud edge rusher or two).

I went from fearing the defense taking the field the last few years to welcoming it and that's with Graham introducing a new system to a bunch of new players with limited training camp in the middle of a pandemic. But if things can get anywhere close to normal, we may have the return of real Giants Football based around a good defense, power running, and what I hope to be the occasional vertical pass.

Speaking of the Giants offense, now we wait on pins and needles for another interview to conclude, this time hopefully ending with a Giants coordinator getting hired.
