100% Of Smart People Say Being A Browns Fan Is Bad For Your Health

What the fuck…

WHAT THE FUCK.

Okay, that's out of my system.

Off the top, fuck everyone who kept congratulating me about the Browns "making the Playoffs" while also giving me shit about being constantly "doom & gloom" over them… now they can clearly see what the Browns experience is like. I will be open for apologies all week.

The bottom line is this (before I vent): the Browns are in the Playoffs if they beat the Steelers in Week 17.

Beating the Steelers is, you know, an issue for the Browns. We also aren't sure how hard the Steelers will try, either. The Steelers still have to possibly play for the 2-seed, and others have cited that they may want to have a little chemistry-building before entering the Playoffs. Another line of thinking says that they need to give Big Ben a rest. Who knows, but the math is simple for the Browns, win and they're in.

There are really only two thoughts that I have following that horrifying loss to the Jets.

1) The Browns were fucked from the start.

You can say "but it's the Jets" all you want, but the Browns were not in a great position.

To be without your top FOUR wide receivers, and two starting offensive linemen, one of them arguably the best guard in the league, was clearly an issue for them today. Especially when you factor in the fact they only found out yesterday…

Kevin Stefanski can say it wasn't an issue all he wants, but bottom line, there were flashes today where you could see the Browns would've won the game had they had a mostly-full roster.

Now, did I think they'd still play well? Yes, I did. Foolish of me, obviously, as I was dead wrong on my prediction. The tight ends weren't as solid as I imagined, and the offensive line issues were brutal right from the start of the game. I thought Chubb & Hunt would still run wild, but that was far from the case.

I think a lot of us, myself especially, overlooked how out of sync the offense would look. This stat says it all:

I really thought the offensive line, down two starters and their main backup would be fine…

You're a clown Jeff.

2) With all of that said, it was still the fucking Jets.

There really is nothing else to say. It's the Jets.

They didn't really play well. The Browns' defense, as usual, sucked ass for much of the game. But they did also give the Browns a couple of opportunities, and the offense didn't execute. They had a couple of drops, the linemen didn't block even remotely well enough to establish the run. On top of that, you could maybe argue that Kevin Stefanski didn't try out the ground game enough early… though I am okay with how he called the game.

For as much as I think the Browns win easily even with just one more offensive linemen, or one or two more wide receivers, they still probably should've won this game.

It fucking sucks, plain and simple.

SIDE NOTE #1I know everyone is arguing over Baker's "intent" on this fumble, but…

…it shouldn't have come down that play anyway. Sucks, but is what it is…

SIDE NOTE #2: I am far more irritated about this bullshit…

…stop fucking blowing plays dead, what is this, 2004? Why do we still do this?

It only seems right the Browns will have to beat the Steelers to end their Playoff drought.

Beat the Steelers. Go Browns. It's going to be a long fucking week.

(PLEASE DON'T FLEX THIS SHIT INTO PRIMETIME)
