James Harden Has Been Given The Night Off, Rockets-Thunder Officially Postponed

I don't see why this isn't a forfeit. The Rockets don't have eight players so the Thunder have to postpone? That's dogshit. Oklahoma City didn't spend hundreds of years building a city so boring that one day its NBA players wouldn't have anywhere to go to even risk getting caught up in a pandemic for them to not be granted a win here. It's not like there are tickets and concession sales that are lost by a forfeit. You're gonna try and kick this can down the road, in an already tightly scheduled season, just because Harden couldn't wait to exchange his Christmas gifts with his closest, least cloth-wearing friends?

I am officially outraged on behalf of the Oklahoma City Thunder - a sentence I never assumed I'd have to write or speak in my entire life. The Rockets fucked up, hold this L and as many more as you need until you can field an eight man roster.

PS - It shouldn't be lost on anyone that the League that gave everyone the COVID blueprint with The Bubble is now canceling OPENING NIGHT games because they aren't using... a bubble. Good job, Silver. Thankfully we're rushing this so we can be ready for the Olympics!
