Tampa Bay CB CJ Wilson Blew Up His Hand And Lost Two Fingers Over the Weekend

Yahoo - It turns out Jason Pierre-Paul wasn’t the only NFL player to suffer a fireworks-related injury over the holiday weekend. According to the Tampa Tribune, Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback C.J. Wilson suffered a “severe hand injury in a fireworks accident” during the July 4th weekend. The Bucs acknowledged the incident in a statement.  “We are aware that C.J. was involved in an accident that occurred over the July 4th holiday. It is our understanding that the injury occurred to one of his hands and our primary concern at the moment is for his long-term health. We have been in contact with C.J. and are continuing to monitor the situation,” the statement said.

I think this is going to be the rare trend started by black people that does not catch on with white people. Blowing off your hand with fireworks should not be a thing. Yes, I get white people do stupid shit too. That whole “cut for Bieber” thing is example 1A. White chicks and balding horse owners cutting their arms because Beebs was doing drugs. But not to be outdone, the new cool thing for black people is to blow their hands to the moon playing around with fireworks. Might be time to put this one to bed. And the timing couldn’t be worse for either of them. JPP hadn’t yet signed his 60 million dollar extension with the Giants, and CJ Wilson is fighting for a roster spot with the Bucs. It sounds like JPP will be fine, but truly I hope Wilson has to get a hook. We can’t have two football players blowing their hands off and nobody getting a hook.
