Big Week For The Yankees Coming Up

divisionWe are a week out from the All-Star break and sitting uncomfortably in first place with a couple of key series coming up. If things go the way they are supposed to the Yankees will beat beat the snot out of the A’s and head up to Boston to end their season but there is reason to be concerned.

In late May, the Yankees went out to Oakland for a 4 game series that should have been an easy 3-4 series win but instead the Yankees pissed down their own leg and coughed up 3 games to the lowly A’s. It was an ugly series with poor pitching and no much offense, which isn’t that different that what we have seen lately, but this is a much better team at home.

To kick things off Eovaldi is 4-0 at home this year and if he can kick things off with a strong start, with the offense supporting him, it sets the tone for the rest of the week. CC has something to prove on Wednesday and Ellsbury is coming back from almost 2 months on the DL, so the team we thought we would have at the beginning of the season would fully be back.  This lets us know what moves we need to make and be ready for a final push in Boston heading into the break.

Of course with this team you never know what’s going to happen one day to the next.
