Universal Studios Gave Us A Sneak Peak Of The New Super Nintendo World With A Mario Kart Rollercoaster Where You Race On A Track Against Other Riders While Wearing An AR Headset And It Looks/Sounds INCREDIBLE

GIMME GIMME GIMME!!! I've long said that Mario Kart is the greatest video game franchise of all-time. You can make a case that certain games or franchises have had higher highs or longer runs. But no individual series has unleashed more dopamine to the brains of people of all ages than Kart. Young kids, people in their teens/twenties high as fuck, and even washed Olds like me all can play and have fun with their favorite drive (Team Yoshi over here). It doesn't matter if you are in first place fighting off the riff raff off with banana peels or in last causing absolute chaos with lightning bolts. You are still having the time of your life. Whoever invented Mario Kart should have a major city named after them for all the joy they brought to the world.

Which is why it is so great seeing a Mario Kart ride not only becoming a reality but apparently becoming a reality that is fun as fuck to go on.

Simply being able to drive at Bowsers Castle, Rainbow Road, and the DK Mountain chain is a childhood dream come true. But making you feel like you are in a real race with other riders complete with weapons, augmented reality, and most importantly a winner and a loser is the kind of excellence we expect from Kart. If I could live anywhere real or fictional, it would be Peach Beach despite the presence of those giant maneating ducks. To actually feel the heat of the sun as well as the blue shells coming for my ass while admiring that golden sand and crystal clear water is better than anything in the real world.

The only bummer about all this is that the ride is in Japan, which I have no plans on going to anytime soon, and the Universal in Florida is currently getting triple red shelled by covid, which makes it impossible to build pretty much anything. I'm not sure if we can work out some sort of trade with Japan where they get a land or two from a Cali Disney part along with all the Sea Worlds in the US since those places suck all in exchange for just this Mario Kart ride. It's like a 10 for 1 trade. But you are pretty much getting December Derrick Henry in return and I'd make it in a heartbeat.
