Match 1 - Josh Duhamel (1-4) vs. Rangoon Wranglers (0-2)
History: Pat 1-5, Cons 2-4, Chef Donny 0-3, The Wonton Don 2-4
Storylines: While Team Duhamel is already mathematically eliminated, Pat and Cons have a chance to play spoiler and deliver a major blow to the Donnie's. This match could also play a factor of not only who finishes last in Group C, but the entire league as well. Nobody wants to be in last place.
Quotes to Remember: "We're playing for pride. We like the Donnie's, but we want to get one more win under our belt and plan on playing again in the future." - Pat
"Can't fall to 0-3 - this is not the start we thought we'd have. It’s a little rocky, but we will come through as a team and win. All or nothing right now." - Chef Donny
Analysis: While both of these teams are not in an ideal spot when it comes to the playoffs, they are playing for pride, and more importantly, playing for you! This match will kick off our broadcast, as Team Duhamel plays in their final match of the season.
Question 1 - Winning Team/Losing Block
Question 2 - Total Blocks
Match 2 - Purple Hedgehogs (2-0) vs. ZARCH (0-1)
History: Dave 2-0, Ria 3-4, Trent 1-4, Robbie 1-4
Storylines: This match will begin a crucial doubleheader for one of the two undefeated teams left in the league. Dave and Ria can clinch a playoff spot with a sweep, but first up, it's Team ZARCH, who have a combined individual record of 2-8. Trent and Robbie desperately need this one to close the gap in the Group A standings.
Quotes to Remember: "It's not one game at a time, it’s one brick at a time." - Dave
"I'm confused, I think I'm pretty good, maybe I'm not as good as I thought. Somewhere deep within me, I know I'm at least decent." - Trent
Analysis: The biggest thing I am looking out for here is how Dave and Ria will manage their stamina with a doubleheader on the horizon. Will they use plenty of trash talk to try and start off on a high note? Will they save their energy for the rematch with Tommy and Frankie? It will be interesting. As for ZARCH, Trent and Robbie have only played once. Can they make some noise in Group A with a win?
Question 3 - Winning Team/Losing Block
Question 4 - Total Blocks
Match 3 - Purple Hedgehogs (2-0) vs. Goose Mode (0-1)
History: Dave 2-0, Ria 3-4, Tommy 1-6, Frankie 0-1
Storylines: Tommy and Frankie are in a very similar spot to Trent and Robbie today. They're both tied for last and facing the first place team in their group. Goose Mode looks for revenge in this one, as Dave told Tommy he looked like a goose multiple times during their last match. Tommy committed a violation while celebrating in that one, as he has the worst individual record in the office at 1-6.
Quotes to Remember: "I think that we are going to destroy Frankie and Tommy again." - Ria
"The layoff will be good - having the loss last time, we needed some rest. Will come back stronger than ever. But if we lose, it's because of the layoff." - Tommy Smokes
Analysis: Goose Mode desperately needs this one. If Tommy and Frankie get swept to the Purple Hedgehogs, they will not have the tiebreaker over them. The biggest key to this one is whether or not Tommy can block out any "goose" accusations from Dave. The last time Tommy got cocky, he committed a two-hand violation.
Question 5 - Winning Team/Losing Block
Question 6 - Total Blocks (Exact Number)
Last order of business - block orders. These are crucial if you are interested in winning the Progressive Jackpot (aka, everybody):
First pull is at 1:30 PM ET today. Remember to make your picks and we will see you then!
